Nova suddenly stopped walking and pressed her hand against her stomach.
A strange, low rumbling sound echoed from her belly.
Nova: “Uh… did you guys hear that?”
Milo looked around quickly.
Milo: “Yeah… I thought it was thunder. But the sky is blue.”
The sound came again — longer this time, like a tiny engine starting up.
Nova: “Okay… that was definitely me.”
Milo grinned.
Milo: “Maybe you swallowed a sleepy dragon.”
Nova: “Very funny.”
Dr. Zaptain smiled and gently twirled his mustache.
Dr. Zaptain: “Cadets, what you’re hearing is not a dragon… but something much more fascinating.”
A soft rumble rolled through Nova’s stomach again, low and steady.
