Scene 1 – The Bed That Remembered Milo

After a long day of exploring the island, Nova, Milo, and Dr. Zaptain finally arrived at a cozy hotel surrounded by tropical gardens.

The lobby smelled of flowers and freshly baked pastries.

Milo: “I am officially out of energy.”

The moment they entered their room, Milo launched himself onto one of the beds.

WHUMP.

He lay there dramatically for a few seconds.

Then he stood up.

Nova stopped unpacking.

Nova: “Uh… Milo?”

Milo: “What?”

Nova pointed at the mattress.

The exact shape of Milo’s body was still visible on the bed.

Arms.

Legs.

Even his head.

Milo: “Okay.”

Milo: “That’s weird.”

The imprint remained for several seconds before slowly disappearing.

Milo: “The bed remembers me.”
