Scene 1 – The Falling Star

The night was quiet.

Waves rolled softly onto the shore while the sky stretched wide above them, filled with stars.

Milo lay on his back in the sand, staring up.

Milo: “There are so many… how do you even count them?”

Nova sat beside him, watching the sky carefully.

Nova: “You don’t. You just look.”

Suddenly, a bright streak of light shot across the sky.

Milo: “THERE! Did you see that?!”

He jumped up, pointing wildly.

Milo: “A star just fell!”

Nova narrowed her eyes.

Nova: “Stars don’t just fall… do they?”

Dr. Zaptain, standing nearby with his hands behind his back, looked up at the sky.

Dr. Zaptain: “An excellent observation, Cadets.”
